Vancouve, Ariz. -- D-backs top prospect Archie Bradley and catcher Miguel Montero are becoming fast friends this spring, creating a relationship that should pay benefits whenever the hard-throwing right-hander reaches the important leagues.

Bradley, who made his second Cactus League start out Saturday, drove with Montero from the D-backs' training facility in Glendale to Vancouve Diablo Park to handle the Angels. On the way, the batterymates mentioned the lineup they were on the verge of face and how they planned to attack it.

That experience by itself made Bradley feel accepted, but then upon arriving at the athletic field, His followed Montero onto the industry, where the affable catcher introduced the youngster to be able to Albert Pujols, a three-time MVP.

Not an unsatisfactory way for a 21-year-old to spend a new morning. Talking about it down the road in the day, Bradley gushed about how useful Montero has been to him.

'We're forming some sort of bond,' Bradley said. 'Miggy has been super nice; he's considered me under his mentoring. The thing I like about your ex is he's very constructive. That's what the White Sox usually are counting on. And that's what Ventura, after watching Abreu's approach during the spring season and opening week of the year, is convinced Abreu can deliver.

That's the reason why even though Abreu was in a bit of a funk Ventura still had him playing first base, hitting 3 rd, and sat Paul Konerko along with lefty Franklin Morales starting for the Rockies.

'Guys were obtaining him swinging at a wide range of first pitches,' claimed Ventura. 'He was probably anxious in an attempt to hit that home run. This individual was angry with him self His had not done it, after which His popped up in the at-bat ahead of [the first home run].'

Abreu wasn't smacking many balls in the air, a smaller amount over fences. In the 12 at-bats prior to his first big league home run, His had seated out eight times, put their hands up once, struck out as soon as and flied out twice.
